The Not So Secret Garden

When I arrived home, from my little adventure, I was dazzled by what I found.

It happens every year and I am ALWAYS AMAZED!

Only it s always better than the year before

The rising of the gardens from more than 200 inches of snow

The decorating of Mother Nature

Now I think that Mother Nature has a thing for PURPLE

why???

The ornaments of all of our spring green purple is the first to appear

why???? This I can't answer, perhaps someone could enlighten me?!?!?!

The finishing touches that change year to year are the hanging baskets that I try to hang EVERY WHERE, don't stand still too long at my house because before you know it you will be adorning a hanging basket.

Have a GREAT weekend!

Oh Kelley, if I had a gardener, my yard would look like yours. I don't, so therefore I will stay here and enjoy the beauty of yours! Do you charge rent????

Beautiful garden! I love your pink dianthus!

As to the colors - the garden writer Eleanor Perenyi once wrote about that funny mauvy-pink color you see a lot in wild flowers and some garden plants - she called it "Garden of Eden" because it seems to be the color that flowers revert to as they self-seed - as though it were the original color of flowers before selection and lucky mutations gave them their variety of colors.

Have a great Pink Saturday!

Beautiful, gorgeous flowers! I also liked looking at your previous posts - the pictures of your horses. My niece trains show horses in Atlanta. She would love to see you photos.

I can't remember how I found your blog but I have thoroughly enjoyed browsing. Loved the posts and photos of all your sweet new foals. My daughter (same name as you..except 1 "e") is seriously contemplating breeding her Oldenberg mare, Tango. On the one hand it would be exciting but on the other hand, she needs another horse like she needs a hole in the head! Unfortunately, she doesn't have her own property so has to pay someone else to board her horses. And I know her well enough to know she won't ever want to sell Tango's baby!
