Pink Saturday and Valentine’s Day

Hello to all of the participates of PINK SATURDAY!

Pink_Logo

I HAVE MISSED YOU!

The overwhelming holiday season is over and hopefully we all will have a little more time to visit and enjoy our blog friends.

My favorite holiday is now approaching, Valentines Day.  I delight in all the pink and romantic images Valentines Day implies, it is a bit frivolous. I love to create and give little gifts to those I care about this time of year. I never know what my theme will be year to year.

Well, this year it is Digital Collage.  I am spending way too much time on the computer playing with images.  My husband is totally baffled by this fascination but…I know there are bloggers out there who do get it.  I am taking a class at Mind Wide Open to learn all the tricks of Photoshop and I am really enjoying it. I just entered a challenge using this image provided to the contestants by Gail (my new favorite teacher:)

The rules require you use the provided image in the art medium of your choice.

I made this digital collage for my submission.

You can see all the entries (and even vote for a favorite) by visiting Mind Wide Open.

Well on to the PINK at hand.  I have designed a couple of Valentines Day Cards using digital collage.  I plan on sharing one card each Pink Saturday.  This week I have I was inspired by my love for horses and vintage images for this week’s card.

I have included an option to use on the inside of the card.

A little early Valentine’s Day gift to you.

Please stop by How Sweet The Sound to visit all of those that are “playing” this PINK SATURDAY, and as always a special THANK YOU to Beverly, our gracious hostess.

Only 4 more PINK SATURDAYS until VALENTINES DAY!

Enjoy!

Oh Kelley, you are so sweet. Thank you for extending your lovely wishes to all of those who love you! I so adore that vintage pink image with the horse; my husband always says, "What is it with you women and horses?" I can't explain it, but they are the most elegant and magnificent creatures God has made and thank you for featuring them so beautifully. Have a wonderful day!! Anita

Oh my gosh Kelley, These are amazing! They look so professional. I've been playing around with the idea of getting photoshop but wondered if I would use it. You may have convinced me.
Happy Pink Saturday,
Suzanne

Your card is beautiful. There is a young lady I work with, she is a senior in high school working so she can keep her horse (she does show jumping), I plan on giving her a copy. It looks like you may have a promising new career!

♫Happy Pink Saturday♫

Gloomy and gray over in my neck of the woods today so all of the pinks shared this Saturday are so special and cheerful. They remind me that there are more colors than just white, gray and black.Your pinks are wonderful! My goodness - so special☺ How gorgeous! Maybe I need to take a class, too☺

I hope your weekend is filled with sunshine surrounded by the laugher of those you love.

Please pray for the people of Haiti. May God bless each and every soul.

Oh Kelley! Thank you for visiting me...you so eloquently expressed exactly what I love about meeting blogger friends; entering into their "nests" is so fabulous. Entering into your ranch would be an incredible experience, seeing your lovely arrangement of life on and off a ranch! I hope all is well; I was just trying to get into my garage to get my school bag but the freezing temps have done something to the lock of the door! My key, my husband's key nor the remote to open the large door won't work!!!! Oh well, I think I need to start this day off with a calm and prayerful heart! Thank you for your kind comments....bisous! Anita

What a lovely idea. I'll check out the other blog as well, thanks for the link.

As you read in my PS post, I am very saddened that I've had to put word verification back on due to my email address being hijacked on Friday, so I spent most of yesterday doing damage limitation. So I'm now moderating AND have word verification (which I will take off again in a week or so, once the hackers get the message). So I apologise for that.

Of the two, I think the Moderate All Comments is the best, as I have still seen spam on blogs where the word verification is on but then the comment allowed to go straight to the blog.

An apologetic and belated Happy Pink Saturday on Sunday!

These are all just gorgeous, Kelley. Your colts and mamas are darling. I love them ~ and your little Yorkie is a doll! The snowflakes picture and the view out your back towards Lake Michigan are both fascinatingly beautiful.
