What takes priority in your life??? Hummmmm...I had the Oprah Show on yesterday and Reba McEntire was on and was saying NOW is the best time of her life, why...because she has stopped trying to please everyone and realizes that her happiness takes priority. I think this is a lesson that we hear a lot these days but not many of us put it into practice.
Today I was so reminded of this lesson. I had way to much to do (at least in my mind), most of it was stuff that I really didn't want to do and things I DID WANT TO DO but felt they didn't take priority. I wanted to take pictures for the RED challenge (see sidebar) I wanted to complete my June GiveAway gift, a sea treasure necklace that I promised my blog readers. Well I did do some of the stuff I didn't want to do but then I threw all caution to the wind and did one of the things I DID WANT to do (feeling a bit guilty, although I got over it quickly). I completed the necklace and had so much fun making it that I made an accessory piece for it. Guess what after I took a little time to do what I really wanted to do the other stuff didn't look so big and bad. So just a reminder do something for you that makes you happy and in turn it makes life a little brighter and lighter which makes everyone around you happier.
O.K. enough of my rambling...I would love to hear what you do that makes your day a little brighter.
Oh yes if you leave a comment this month you will be entered in my June GiveAway, the sea treasure necklace that is loaded with aquamarine and fresh water pearls with a matching single strand necklace that can also be wrapped twice to make a bracelet.
Check out my etsy shop this weekend. I have created a few new necklaces and bracelets that I will be listing tomorrow and Saturday.
