Zucchini 911

This is that time of year when...
you have more zucchini than friends:)

The time of year when you go to the grocery store
and feel terrible when you see someone is buying zucchini.
You can only think, look at that poor soul he is buying zucchini,
he must not have any friends.

My husband LOVES zucchini,
he was literally raised on it.
The youngest of 3 boys with huge appetites,
 during the summer
they made this zucchini every night.

The amazing thing is that he still LOVES it.
He makes zucchini 911 as least 3 times a week
and
when we have guests, he always makes it.

I have to admit it is always a hit
and he is asked for the recipe more often than not.

As you can see it is very simple.

You probably already have every ingredient you need.

A couple pats of butter for each half of zucchini

A little shake of  Lawry's California Style Garlic Salt.

Finish off with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

Looking good so far.

Bake in a 350 degree oven 35-45 minutes.

Wa-laa!
Zucchini for everyone!

Zucchini 911
4 to 6 medium zucchini
4 small pats butter per zucchini

Lawry’s California Style Garlic Salt

Grated Parmesan Cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice each zucchini length wise and score inside with a knife and place in 9” x 12” Pyrex dish. Top each half with 2 thin pats of butter.  Sprinkle with Garlic Salt. Top with Parmesan Cheese. Fill bottom of the pan with ¼ inch water.
Bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown on top.
If desired finish under broiler for a crispy top.
