The Last of the Pink Roses

I feel the autumn in the air

The morning tells me that soon the snow will fly

and my pink roses will fade.

I will miss you "pink" roses but look forward to your return in the spring.

The Party Let Down

Precisely at noon on Friday the Creativi-tea started!

The tables were set!

My chairs were finished

I set the tables with red transferware
accented with my collection of red transferware
of teapots and roses from my garden

The birdhouses were finished
2 Friends and my Mom (yes a friend too)

were sweet enough to let me borrow their beautiful

birdhouses for centerpieces

This sweet pea cottage was made by Sharon

Sharon made this pink and green abode too

In fact major complaint from some of the husbands...

"my wife wasn't hungry Friday night" go figure....

Everyone "caught up" on the summers gossip

I couldn't have asked for a more glorious afternoon

I think a good time was had by all!

I put together greeting cards with some of my fav photos for favors.

After hosting this for a second year

I think this is going to be an annual event and I couldn't be happier.

Final Party Planning

The final touches are coming together for the Creativi-tea!

There is nothing like a party to get those little projects that always get

"put on the back shelf"

I bought these old chairs a couple of years ago, they were ecky, ecky ECKY!
Everyone thought I was crazy for buying them...

and then they sat around for several summers as a WIP.

Finally I have finished all 5 of the chairs and they are going to the PARTY!

The crafts barn has been busssssssssssssssssssssssssy!

Everyone is getting their house in order for the party.

The Invitations Are Out

This is my favorite time of year.
Kids back at school (OK a few guilt feelings for saying that)

Guests have returned home

Autumn is approaching and life has quited down a bit

SO IT IS TIME TO PARTY!!!!

I am hosting a party for a second year for all the creative women that live in my community.

Sometimes I get so caught up in blogland that I overlook the talent that surrounds me everyday.

So it is time for Creativi-tea Summer 2009

An OH SO EASY party to throw

Everyone brings their favorite creations of the summer

A little bit of showing off, a bit of telling technique

and ALOT OF FUN!

Everyone brings a summer dish to pass and we graze and GAZE for the afternoon.

Last year I featured my mosaic cakes on the tables.

Ohhhhhh this year the centerpieces are going to be soooooooooo cool, but it's a secret and if I told you...well you would know what would happen:)

OK I have to admit maybe we were drinking a little more than tea:)

I so wish I had taken more pictures of the projects...it was my first time to throw this little party so I was a little less than organized. I promise to show you some of the wonderful creations from this year's party.

Pink Saturday!

How can it be Saturday again already?

Well if it is Saturday its PINK SATURDAY and that's OK with me.

Last weekend I found this vintage wash pitcher of course detailed in pink.

I couldn't wait to get home and fill it full of my garden's almost red not quite pink roses.

The result has made me smile all week.

Now some exciting news..
