Hello...It's ME!

Hello....It's me!!!!
(shameful steal from Adel)

 Yes!
It is me!

I'm still the crazy crafter who
loves mosaics and tea parties
 BUT,  in the Blog World
so much has changed!

It feels like "Blogging, Back to the Future"

Please let me explain.
I started my blog 8 years ago.

It was a time that we had to walk 5 miles to school
in 2 feet of snow in the blog world.

Thanks to some very special ladies
that share my passion for crafting,
I started to think about blogging again.
(side note not nearly enough time with these ladies)

We were crafting yesterday
and catching up on lots of projects
and I was asked about my blog
and I said "I am no longer blogging."
  Of course the question why?

Good Question!

My answer was
"I felt I didn't have much to share"
which was absolutely hilarious
 after showing "the ladies" a
bazillion pictures of my current projects.

So maybe... FEAR IS THE ANSWER.

Yes, so much has changed,
I don't generate tons of traffic,
(I don't even know how to generate traffic)
I don't even have a FACE BOOK page.
Twitter is the sound of birds gossiping in the morning

What hasn't changed is that
 I LOVE TO CREATE!!!!!

It still keeps me awake at night.
I wish I could create everyday.
And... I'm still hoping
the laundry and cooking fairy
would take up residence at my house.

I thought of starting a new blog
 and recreating my Blog Self.
Nope!  Not going to happen.
I don't need to change because
all the same reasons I started to blog
still hold true.

So Hello...

I'm back!!!
I'm excited to share and visit
 the many bloggers who have
touched my heart through out the years to say
"hello" and see what everyone has been up to.

OH HAPPY DAY!

Wishing you
Heath and Happiness
ALWAYS!

The Blog Looking Glass

This morning I woke up,
let the dog out and turned to go back inside
and looked at my house from the outside in.
It took me back a little...
the sun was shining after a few gray and cloudy days and it lit up my home.

I have seen this many times before but today it was different,

today it made me want to grab my camera and "catch" the feeling
It was a true reflection of how I was feeling.

I have had a few "cloudy" health days in the past few years

but lately the sun is shining more often than not.

Shake It UP!!!

IT IS TIME!!!

TO...

SHAKE IT UP!!!

I am done trying to NOT complicate my life....

I find I am much happier in the middle of chaos....
(please remind me of that in a week or two)

I tend to go overboard,

For example, I decorated with poinsettias for Christmas and

Look what happened

LOOK what happened!

I have been a poinsettia slave since Thanksgiving,
lots of watering in the Florida sun
it usually starts with a" mumble grumble" and finishes with "that felt good"

A Cowgirl's Dream

I have just returned from
The All American Quarter Horse Congress

of course we went to show our "Cutting" horses
but the "icing on the cake" is the
SHOPPING!

You can find ANYTHING related to horses
A Cowgirl's Dream!

I have never ever seen so many boots...

pink boots

blue boots

animal print boots

and every other boot you can imagine!

just to name a few...

The boots were just the start
of all the cowgirl "eye candy"

and my favorite display,
the mosaic skulls

Needless to say I didn't
need anyone to spur me on
when it came to shopping.

We had a successful show,
One out of two made the finals
and we loved "visiting" with our
"horsey friends"

Plus I did lots of Christmas shopping
and enjoyed every minute of it.

Enjoy!

Will We See the Light

I recently finished the book,

It is set in WWII and captures the essence of war
and how it can become part of everyday life where once
life was relatively carefree.

It was a reminder of a very grim time in our history.
It amazes me that all this tragedy happened less than 75 years ago.

How can we forget "the lessons" so easily?

Our world now scares me.

Craziness now invades our everyday lives
where once it was relatively carefree.

I of course do not have the answers but I do ponder these thoughts:

Have the "things" that have made our lives so much easier
come in the form of a "Trojan Horse"?

Most children (mine included) live on "Easy Street"
where so many parents
want their children to have
the "best" of everything and "want" for nothing.

OK...I realize I have now become
my mother and my grandmother in one sentence.

Oh HELP!

I hate being a "Debbie Downer" I truly do wish life was all..

I'll stop after one more thought:

The internet?
The very thing that makes it possible
for me to have this post sent everywhere
and anywhere in the world also
 makes it so "others" with
not such good intentions can do the
same.

So is this a book review?
Yes, and I give it 5 stars!

and possibly a life review.

I rarely get this serious but maybe it is time.

I just hope history doesn't repeat itself.

Hopefully the light of the past will guide us.

After all that :)
Enjoy you Weekend!

The Cast of My Garden

It is time to "hit" the REFRESH button on my blog.
It has been way too long since my last visit.

On this first day of fall my garden will soon be
getting ready for the upcoming winter.

So I put the garden teapot on

poured myself beautiful blooms

as I sipped I silently thanked
all the flowers that graced my garden this year.
I would have liked to have celebrated
their beauty more with photographs and thoughts.
I'm sorry to admit this year my garden was a bit neglected.
Although the neglect didn't detour the cast of characters from
performing their roles.

The sedum is turning a beautiful crimson
and plays host to a bumblebee party each day.

The snapdragons have let
 the mums have center stage.

The hydrangeas have been busy
 as they "fluffed and puffed'
their beauty all season and occasionally
a fresh new bloom steps on stage.

The butterflies and hummingbirds
have had their little tummies filled.

The Black Eyed Susan
 dance around the birches.

and the star of the cast is the rose.
Blooming in every "act" all summer
 until the first snowflake falls.

Thank you sweet garden
you are beautiful
in spite of your "Director's" lack of attention.

Enjoy!
It is a wonderful time time of year!
